The past few years have witnessed a surge of new observations of tidal disruption events and an ensuing flurry of theoretical activity. With the first sample of optical TDEs in hand, more and more events are being identified and followed by various transient surveys. This new data has sparked renewed theoretical interest, yielding novel interpretations and intriguing predictions. At this exciting time in the field, it is important to get together and discuss these new advances.
We are pleased to announce a TDE Workshop, to be held November 2-5, 2015 at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies, at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. The meeting will be in the format of a workshop to encourage interaction and collaboration. To allow for productive discussion, we are limiting participation to a small group of researchers actively engaged in TDE studies.
Registration is by invitation only. As the number of participants is limited, if you have not received an invitation and are interested in attending, please contact us at elinorz@savion.huji.ac.il.
Note that A one day TDE School will take place on 01.11.15 before the workshop.
